Great book with wonderful pictures. I had my Kindergarten students use the book with a "scavenger hunt" sheet as a learning center. The kids needed to find the different shapes in the book and make tally marks to show that they found the shapes in the pictures, then tell which shape they found the most of and which shape had the least pictures. The kids enjoyed this center while reinforcing their understanding of 3D shapes. I would recommend this book for classroom use.

Anything by her is great! Has an old school feel and wonderful illustrations.
I had higher hopes for this book. I don't know what I was expecting exactly, but this book has no words. It's simply a picture book with photos of different objects that are in different, specific 3D geometric shapes. I used this in a lesson plan with first graders, and they weren't all that impressed. This would probably be good to introduce the concept of geometric shapes with Pre-K or Kindergarten students. Also might work well for special education needs for students any older than that. The photos are clear and interesting, but it just wasn't engaging at all.
Great non-fiction!!
I was preparing to teach a lesson on geo-solids and this book gave excellent examples of different types of geometric solids. It arrived on time.
This book was on a list of recommended books for early childhood teachers to use with children. Our school has found them helpful.
This book served as a great review/informal assessment/real-world application for my first grade class after a unit on 3D shapes. My students like to look at it in a center and "quiz" each other on the different types of figures.
