I say this about all teacher prep books: nothing will prepare you for a classroom other than being in front of class.

Book arrived quickly and in great condition. Full of great information that I enjoyed learning even though I only purchased as a class requirement.
I had to order this book for a class and I actually really like the way it is written. If you are at all interested in the history of education this would be a great book to read.
Good Condition
This text is dull as they come. It takes some very interesting history and turns it into drab, poorly written, opinionated blather. There is so much filler text in this that even if you wanted it for practicality reasons (it's one of the few education history books that goes in order from start to finish) you'll find that this book does NOT suit your needs. You will read long, senseless, paragraphs before any point is made. If you're looking for very thinly veiled opinions, paired with some blatant omission, and topped with small spatterings of facts and condescending verbiage, this is the book for you.
