This book provides a comprehensive overview to many topics of interest to anyone interested in schizophrenia. It's well-written by the top people in their fields and is an excellent starting point for medical students or others who want to know what the research into schizophrenia has to say about the influence of medication. The chapter on structural imaging and treatment response in schizophrenia is particularly thought provoking (Crosthwaite & Reveley). It is a bit pricey for only 269 pages but at this size is a perfect primer for further reading.
