My son loved it. Book is nicely packaged and good quality.
I have two boys (6 and 10) who love Spongebob Comics. I'm not a fan how pricey they are when you purchase them by the issue (not to mention how quickly they fall apart!) I was so excited to see this and ordered it for Christmas. The book is hardback and has a storage case it slides out of. The pages are thick and I really think this is going to last through years of daily use. The variety of stories inside is excellent as well (I even like them!). If you have a reluctant reader, I always suggest trying comics...and Spongebob is a great place to start!
My sons (6yrs and 8yrs) absolutely love this book! They continue to go through it every few days and are thrilled!
This book is great for fans of all ages. I have been watching SpongeBob since the beginning and consider this a collector’s item.

I got this book for my 10 year old since he is a fan of the comics and we often sit and read them together and have pretty great conversations about the various artist and their individual styles and takes on the characters. When i handed him this book, he sat on the couch and devoured each and every page and told me how great it was to have so many awesome comics in one book. When he was done he said " Dad, sorry i read the whole thing, i'll definitely read it again with you anytime" i can't wait!
I became a fan of SpongeBob Comics (not the tv show, not the Broadway play) late in life. But, oh boy do I love them. This hardcover collection is indeed a treasure and I am grateful for it being published in this format. My paperback comics are starting to fall apart from being read over and over again. After I read this a few more times, I think I'll pass it on to my 8-year-old for Christmas. Maybe. Bonus: There's a reprint of the original #1 issue of the comic.
The presentation of this collection with the slide out cover is beautiful. The comics themselves are excellent but I also really enjoyed the inclusion of cover art and paintings of the characters and wish I could track some of them down as prints. This would make a great gift or addition to your personal collection for any SpongeBob fan. I've been enjoying this collection and sharing it with friends since I bought it, but it felt especially poignant pulling it off the shelf today after hearing that Hillenberg had passed away and rereading about his start making educational comics for his students.The book is very big and sturdy, just be warned if you intend to give it to small children that it does include a pull out facsimile of the original first issue that could be damaged more easily than the main book. Highly recommended, one of the best investments I've made as someone who buys too many graphic novels.
